Customer Reviews Analysis

Customer Reviews Analysis

In this section, we will analyze the customer reviews for the Nikon D3500 DX-Format DSLR Two Lens Kit with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR & AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED, Black. Let’s take a look at what customers have to say about this product:

  1. “So far I’m loving this camera. The price was amazing and it’s super easy to use. It’s light also. Mainly got it to get into photography and was dying to get pictures of the moon. This little camera did not disappoint. I will update later to see how is holds up in general but so far I loving it! Update 1month: Still an amazing first camera. Might want to invest in a tripod lol super easy to use still and no issues. Only a month in though but she’s doing good for what I needed her for.”

  2. “I was super nervous to buy such an expensive camera and have little experience. I watched a few tutorials and feel more comfortable using it. Recently took it on a trip to South Dakota and my pictures were crisp, clear, and beautiful!!! I downloaded an app on my iPhone where the camera connects with my phone and all my pictures were sent directly to my phone! Super easy to make an album or prints! Very impressed with the quality and versatility of the camera!”

  3. “Great product for beginners to DSLR cameras. I had been wanting one for a while because I just couldn’t get the right angles or quality from my cellphone camera. I’ve only taken about 1600 photos so far, but this camera takes much better quality photos than what I expected from a low-end DSLR. Battery life is freaking amazing as well, I’ve only had to charge the battery 2 times since I started using it! Downsides are no touch screen, no wifi, and no plug for a remote trigger, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons in my book, so unless you NEED those features, this is definitely a good investment.”

  4. “I bought this in late 2019 and absolutely love it. The D3500 has everything an advanced amateur photographer would need (and much he or she would want). The 18-55mm lens is a great basic lens, and the 70–300mm is useful for moderate telephoto shots. The programmed auto mode is great for point and shoot photography. I shoot mostly in the aperture priority mode as I shoot mostly stationary objects and can control the depth of field easily this way. You can also go full manual, including overriding the autofocus, which is a great option. I try to take a few shots every day with this camera because it is so fun to use.”

  5. “This is a very nice camera, however, I do wish it had an owner’s manual with it. I had to buy that separately. Also, they included the wrong transfer cable which would not plug into the camera because it had the wrong size terminal. Other than that, the camera works as expected and takes great pictures.”

  6. “I bought this to replace my phone camera when doing nature photography. This is my first DSLR and I’ve had a blast so far using it. Very beginner-friendly, just make sure to look through the manual and spend some time learning its different features. The picture quality is great, especially for the price! Would recommend it for anyone who wants to get into photography without completely breaking the bank. The second lens is also nice and provides a good amount of zoom without being too bulky.”

  7. “I’m writing this after owning this camera about a year. I started my photography with a Canon AE-1. Then over the years, I used an assortment of Canon digital cameras. This is my true DSLR and first Nikon. I couldn’t be any happier. I bought the two-lens package. I have used my 70-300mm, and I love the reach of that lens, but often I just shoot everything with the 18-55mm lens. I have taken over 1000 shots with this camera in that time. I set the ISO setting to max out at 1600 and use the ‘P’ mode for most of my photography. I also like the fact that the battery lasts such a long time. My biggest issue with Canon cameras was the poor battery performance. I used to lug around three spare batteries to feed the beast with Canons. With this camera, I can shoot all weekend with one charge. I must also mention the great deal Amazon gave me on this camera on the Black Friday deal. I paid $350 for the two-lens package plus the carrying bag. Great job Amazon! Great job Nikon!”

  8. “Professional quality images if you know what you’re doing, and the 70-300mm lens is quality. The 18-55mm isn’t as great, but it’s a kit lens, it’s as good as you can ask for, I guess. Seller was great, got more in the package than was in the description like a case, cheap flash, and cleaning stuff, which is a major plus.”

  9. “Excelente producto y el servicio de ventas muy bueno.”

  10. “Packaging- It was packed in a box with ‘fragile’ and ‘camera inside’ marked because we all have seen how packages are handled at railway stations, I don’t know the efficacy of the demarcations in stopping that from happening with a particular package though. Items supplied- Camera body, Nikkor AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, Nikkor AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens, 1 battery charger, 1 EN-EL14a battery, neck strap, manual. The camera body and 2 lenses come packed in bubble wrap and standard anti-static packaging. Others are wrapped in plastic. This does not come with a memory card or adapter. They need to be purchased separately. For first-time camera owners, it is recommended to watch a detailed D3500 user’s guide on YouTube first. Although the manual does a good job of guiding the person and is well written, a visual guide would help a lot. Auto-focus is fastest with the 18-55mm lens, a little slow with the 70-300mm but fast for everyday applications. VR is very good, lets us take a good shot, good for shooting outside. If you’re shooting at night in Auto mode, the pictures tend to be grainy, the camera by default sets the ISO to 25600 at night or low light situations. A point to take note of if you are surprised by grainy pictures. Battery is decent, depends on how much you auto-focus and use live-view. Personally, the battery gives me 100+ shots easily when I take it outside. Takes under 3 hours to charge fully. Don’t leave your camera connected to PC in on condition for long duration, it drains the battery. These are the basics worth reviewing, for other nitty-gritty details, go out, shoot, get dissatisfied, want to improve and search online. There are many great resources online. Other purchases to consider early on- a lens cleaning kit, a screen protector, UV filter, lens hood, memory card. Other optional/cosmetic purchases- camera bag, camera strap, spare battery, filters. There is a whole world of lenses out there for you to try on your camera, and it gets costly pretty quick. Master your kit lenses and then get a Nikkor AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G lens, goes for Rs.18000. What it lacks- advanced features like HDR or Auto Exposure Bracketing, one more dial for ISO or aperture settings in manual mode. Not a deal breaker in any way. Pretty good package but feels a little overpriced at Rs.53000 (July 2022), while I have heard it sold for 42 to 45000 earlier.”

  11. “My first DSLR after many years with film. Lightweight and compact and not too noisy. I’d rather be able to pick the f-stop and focus on the lens. The autofocus takes too long. For a beginner, it would be great. For anything more advanced, you would need faster lenses.”

  12. “Mi esposa y yo no tenemos ninguna experiencia en fotografía, esta cámara es muy fácil de usar, te ayudan muchísimo los modos inteligentes y no necesitas conocimientos para poder tomar buenas fotografías ya que es intuitiva.”

  13. “As has been said by many already this is an excellent camera for the beginners. You don’t have to be a professional to shoot with this camera, and what you shoot makes you feel that you are as good as a professional. Good picture quality and ‘the aim and shoot’ facility puts you into instant liking of the product. Personally, I like it and am well satisfied with its quality.”

Capturing Moments Made Easy: Nikon D3500 Two Lens Kit - A DSLR for Everyone

    Pros

    1. Easy to Use: The Nikon D3500 is designed with simplicity in mind, making it a great option for beginners or those who just want to capture moments effortlessly. With its point-and-shoot-like functionality, anyone can take stunning DSLR photos and videos without a steep learning curve.

Its compact size and lightweight design make it easy to carry around, allowing you to capture memorable moments wherever you go. Additionally, the two lens kit provides versatility, covering a wide range of focal lengths for various shooting situations.
    3. High-Quality Images: The D3500 features an image sensor that’s 15 times larger than those found in typical smartphones. This larger sensor allows for sharper and clearer pictures with more detail and better low-light performance. Whether you’re capturing landscapes, portraits, or action shots, the D3500 delivers impressive image quality.
    4. Seamless Smartphone Integration: The Nikon SnapBridge app allows for seamless connectivity between the D3500 and compatible smartphones or tablets. You can easily transfer and share your photos directly from the camera to your mobile devices, making it quick and convenient to showcase your work on social media or with friends and family.
    5. Full HD Videos: In addition to stunning photos, the D3500 also captures high-quality 1080p full HD videos with monaural sound. With just the touch of a button, you can effortlessly switch between capturing still images and recording videos, making it a versatile camera for capturing various types of content.

    Cons

    • No Built-in Wi-Fi: While the D3500 offers Bluetooth connectivity through the Nikon SnapBridge app, it does not have built-in Wi-Fi. This means that if you want to transfer photos or videos directly to your computer or share them on platforms that don’t support the app, you’ll need to use an additional Wi-Fi accessory or SD card reader.
    • No Touchscreen: Unlike some other DSLR cameras in its price range, the D3500 does not have a touchscreen. This means that all menu navigation and settings adjustments must be done using the physical buttons and dials on the camera. While this may not be a dealbreaker for many users, some may prefer the convenience of a touchscreen interface.
    • Limited External Controls: The D3500 is designed to be user-friendly and easy to use, which means it has a simplified control layout. While this makes it more approachable for beginners, it may limit the options and flexibility for more advanced photographers who prefer quick access to certain settings without having to navigate through menus.
    • No Image Stabilization: Unlike some higher-end Nikon models, the D3500 does not feature in-body image stabilization. While both lenses included in the kit do offer some form of vibration reduction (VR), having in-body stabilization would provide even more stability and flexibility when shooting in low light or using longer focal lengths without a tripod.
